Can ABS Sensor trigger Tyre Pressure Warning

Hi Guys
I need some technical advice. For the last couple of years I've had intermittent tyre pressure warnings. The tyre pressure always checks out. Additionally I get intermittent SELF LEVEL SUSP INACT warnings. My 2004 X5 has been to the techies more times than I can remember and each time they say they can't find a problem and nothing is recorded in the logs. My X went out of warranty 3 months ago. I had 4 new tyres fitted at the dealer a week ago and the very next day I get all 4 warning lights, ABS, Tyre Pressure, 4x4 DCS and Break warning light up. Back to the dealer and they tell me I have a failed rear right wheel speed sensor (ABS sensor). So my question is.... could this have been sending duff info on and off over the last 2 years causing the tyre pressure light to come on and now it's finally failed? Dealer says he doesn't reckon and I have to pay for a new sensor fitting... Oh and could they have caused the problem when they fitted the new tyres?
Thanks
RobC

Do you have the suspension leveling switch that is located to the left of the steering wheel (in USA cars). If you do have it, then you have 2 axle leveling suspension and not single axle leveling suspension (someone correct me on this if I'm wrong). There was an issue with the FTM (technically it's an FTM / RPA - Flat Tire Monitor and not a TPM/RDC - Tire Pressure Monitor) and one axle self leveling cars in the past that I know of, but in your case I would guess it's the ABS sensor. Changing tires has nothing to do with it as it's an indirect pressure monitoring system. The FTM system was implemented from 4/2004 onwards.
