Steering column replacement??

The dealer is replacing my steering column due to some issues with squeeking. It is a 2005 3.0 under warranty. What kind of install is this? Do they have to remove the dash, etc? I'm nervous............

no just the steering wheel and the top and bottom covers the very neck that has the igintion slot and the other levers. Very easy DIY. Is the dealer charging you?

the dealer charged us $1100-1200 total to do this.

it was affecting the powersteering as the assist would lessen when you first start a turn. it was also making knocking sounds.
