Self Leveling Suspension Inactive?
Anybody know about this warning? Why would the self leveling suspension be inactivated? Did I do something to cause it, or am I looking at a repair bill heading my way? I've only had my X a few months, and I'm still learning. Thanks, Dave

The owner's manual only mentioned it in one place, saying to have it serviced if the vehicle is sitting at an obvious angle (mine wasn't.) And since it's only happened once, I'd think it's just a fluke. But it's weird. This truck doesn't GET strange warnings unless they mean something.
I've always been a bit nervous about buying a used vehicle, and this kind of scary stuff is the reason why. Hope it doesn't happen again. Have any of you had this message happen when it really meant something? Dave

I've noticed that the suspension inactive warning isn't necessarily related to the suspension failing.
I had a previous issue with the bluetooth module in my '03 and I was receiving the suspension error until i removed the Bluetooth module. It seems the faulting module may have caused a short on the bus which resulted in the error. |

a lot of members get that message occasionally, unless is frequent I don't think you have anything to worry about

Just had the same thing happen. Looks like the dealer said there's some fault code. Reset the computer and the fault went away.
They're saying the suspension indicator comes on if there is a drop in voltage. That can sometimes fool the sensor to generate the fault. |

Suggest you check the 30A fuse for the Air Suspension, and just pull it and reinsert it..On my 01 X it used to do it all the time, then found out I had a bad fuse and it all went away. Every time I sent it in to the dealer for the message, they just cleared it as it wouldn't EVER do it at the dealer. Ultimately, the fuse blew and when I replaced it with new, the issue did not reappear.

I had the exact same problem today. My x was parrked on my driveway which was flat surface. Then i started it and was lisinting to some music and there was no light. i went inside and came otu again to go somewhere. When i started it the suspension intact message was there and then i turned off the engine and started it again and it was gone. Walked around truck and it seemed fine. Ever since that nothing has apeared or changed on it.

In my case. such message happens whenever i go over some uneven portion of the road which means there is some slippage in your tires.
