X5Sport is on a distinguished road
Not sure about getting the imperial / metric conversion right so have used imperial only and my '05 3.0D Sport auto does about 35mpg on motorways - I have seen 37mpg once - and around town this falls to around 27mpg.

I now have 37k8 on the odo and have had the car since new. With price of diesel fuel in the UK now at 117pence/litre it's getting expensive!! Still a petrol version would be even more expensive to run as the mpg is worse.

If diesel gets much more expensive I'm going to have to have a long hard think about how long I keep this vehicle. A full tank now costs £108 which equates to about £5.34 per UK Gallon or $10.63 for those who want in USD - and some of the US car users are complaining about $4 a gallon!!

Those figures are as I would expect to see for a diesel X5, per my post above.

Approaching $6 IMP Gal here in Vancouver, equating to $5 per US Gal.
