New Wheels...

Finally got the 20s on the rig yesterday. I took a set of silver Style 87s and had them powdercoated. Got them back earlier this week and installed yesterday.

Very sinister. I wanted to do similar but the wife nixed the idea.

I think those would look better on my black 4.4 sport.

black on black would be the most preferable, but when I was looking for an X a few months back, no black 4.4s were available with the mileage I was looking for, so I settled on the silver. My wife was very supportive in the project (ie, she let me do it). It took about a month from purchase of the wheels to the finished project, and the powdercoating alone took 2 1/2 weeks for all that they did (stripping, powdercoating them once, letting them cure, etc).

Now that looks Good! I agree with Zerochief! Get that Black Matte Grill! Very good look! Also - I went from a black rear lid grip to a titanium silver to code with my car.....you already have the silver.....A black grille upfront and a black lid grip in the back! Damn that might be the move! IMO!

Nice wheels. You definitely need to tint your windows very dark to give your X5 some visual balance.

I'm curious about how much the powder coating cost you.

[Edit] Here you go, a quick PS of what it would look like with dark tint.
