I just talked to him recently and he's made up his mind about getting an SUV and not a sedan...which one I don't know. I’ve told him about the 4.4, but he's looking for something a little more special, a little different than what everyone has. I’m located in Virginia, right next to DC. It’s a private party sale. A friend of my dads was selling it so that’s why the price was a little lower. I hope we get it…he needs to enjoy his life and spend some of that hard earned money on himself!!! I’ll let you guys know when we get it, and I’ll be sure to snap some pictures. Hopefully he’ll get to read this thread and that might make him lean more towards the bmw. Btw, my dad always looks for bargains…so I highly doubt he’d ever pay MSRP. What I’m worried about is that because the 4.8is is such a rare SUV, the stealers won’t be much flexible with the price. Maybe a grand or two, but that doesn’t make such a huge difference when we’re talking about 70 large. Thanks again!

I just saved over $13,500 on a 2004 with 6,000 miles. After new2bmw made his post yesterday, I decided to place a bid on Ebay and ended up winning it. I have to cancel my 2006 that is on order today, but for that kind of savings, it seemed like a no brainer! I'll post some pics when I pick it up. Here is the link if anyone is interested...

that suv looks amazing...i wish it were lemans blue and I wuld have been all over that...but def you got an amazing deal. I don't think mine was exactly 6k...more like 6.5/7.5k. IM JEALOUS!  haha congrats again for a great car. if you don't like it let me know...and i'll buy it from you. $58,000 is a great deal...wasn't their a reserve on that. I never knew on the market these cars would be under 60 already after a year! well anyways good luck. take some pictures.

I spoke to the owner of Southern Imports and it was his personal car until his Bentley GT came in! Must be nice. Anyway, the Kelley Blue Book trade in on that car with 6K is $57,700, so I am feeling pretty good about it. I was the only one to bid on it and the reserve was $58K. I am pumped, but I cannot get out to pick it up for 3 weeks. That is just as bad as waiting for a car on order!!
