Coolant overflow hose break

A broken coolant hose could sometime be the sign of an underlayer problem like for example a faulty thermostat or water pump. Recently I had a very similar problem with the top hose (same one as the one shown on the picture). The garage just replaced it without looking for any other possible problem. 3 days later I broke another hose. This time my entire cooling system (radiator, thermostat, water pump) had to be replaced.

I just recently broke my hose in the garage, I when to Autozone and got a foot brakeline hose and form it similar shape to the original one, now it temperary use until I got a original one. Once I replace it I will keep this spare one in the trunk for future use, I think there is a faulty design on this plastic hose here. It is easy to shatter and broke in pieces.

Caution: do not use any other materials but brake liner for this piece. The fluid is extremely hot.

Mine broke in the exact location on Monday. Seems like it wore through the attachment point. I attempted to fix it with a rubber hose from AutoZone so I can drive it temporarily but that only lasted 15 minutes. I lost a ton of fluid ... Off to the dealer I go to pick this up.
