X5 2005 - How to play dvds on navi screen

I heard that there's a way to fit an X5 or any other bmw that has navigation to play regular dvds on and feed the picture to the navi screen. Does anybody know any specifics on how this is done?

You can also buy the OEM BMW "switchbox", which provides several video inputs which are trigered by 12VDC or mementary switch to ground. It's designed for adding front and/or rear cameras for cars without the TV Tuner.
You'd have to route the audio to your AUX input on your BM53 Tuner.

There are some video set-ups, but integrating the Dice and a back-up camera would be really good. This would make the OEM GPS more...up to date.

Somebody should make a kit. Or, has somebody done this using available parts?
