Engine Stall

Hello,

I have searched the forums and found the possible reasons, however want to get people's thoughts.

Last night my 2002 (80k miles) 3.0i X5 stalled when I was sitting on a hill to turn right. I didnt even realize it stalled out as I was facing down the hill and went to turn right and after cornering hit the gas, and then nothing. My Question is, the car is covered under CPO, but should I take it in right away? or wait and see if it happens again?

Maybe it was a fluke?
Thanks,

-Brent

I have had this happen once or twice - mine has 138K miles on it. Not sure anyone has ever diagnosed what causes this. Seems to only occur when making a sharp turn and accelerating.

I would wait and see if it happens again then maybe go have it checked out. Or call your dealer and see if they know anything about it (and let us know what they say )

just a shot in the dark...

when was the last time you cleaned your injectors or changed your fuel filter? could also be a fuel pump... I used to have the same problem with an old ford bronco I once had.. did the minor easy fixes and it worked for it... just a thought...
good luck..
