they me be ugly but i dont leave home without them.

Nice.. the after picture has no Vredesteins though LOL. Notice you have extra reflectors to make sure they see you too. I can see how that can be hard at 110mph.

Do they have those in titanium silver?

Kinda crazy. It wasn't bad enough for me to call insurance yet - no dents or anything. the old lady that hit me was very nice and apologetic (could have been an aunt of mine so i didnt yell at her or act ignorant.. it was an accident and at the corner we were on it was waiting to happen).

so i got her info she offered to pay out of pocket, but i got her insurance info as well. So we'll see.. i know i need to post pictures for this question to be answered but there seems to be no deep scratches etc - cant i just have the bumper stripped and repainted? unfortunately (for her) it's all one piece..
Hey There,

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. Got rear ended by someone not paying attention. LIke you, my bumper suffered minor scratches & no dents. However, my right tailpipe was bent pretty bad.

I took her in Monday got her back yesterday afternoon. They ended up replacing the bumper for a new one + I got a new right muffler.

$2400 total...

U noticed the missing Vredesteins BMW doesnt certify cars with non OEM tires. When i bot my car recently they made me buy new Diamaris (Boooo) in order for the car to be certified (which allowed me to get 2.9% financing). I still prefer the Vredesteins!

You can prime and have a body shop match them to your car...prolly cost you $40 max.

Oh, and I love how there are 3/4 pics of your X Laura, and 1 of the flipped car
No one is throwing food at you. It's painful whether the damage is minor or major. We feel your pain.

I had to get the flipped 4Runner. Now you know why I didn't have the heart to go off on him. Just two days before I was in service and the kid who checks in the cars walked around the X 5 times with his clipboard looking for a ding or scratch. I dared him to find a mark.

Rasta,

Been there...done that...got a "proctological exam" on the Garden State Parkway (northbound, near Exit 143) back in Jan 2007. And I don't mean at a doctor's office....

Courtesy of a young lady in a very old Ford Escort. One of those rapid slow-down situations, where my X5 brakes responded well to the stopped guy in front of me, but her brakes....not as good .

Had to get new bumper, new mufflers, new rear brackets, new PDC. Came out better than new thanks to a great body shop in Hackensack.
GEICO treated me well, paid for everything, minus the $200 deductible.

Welcome to the X5 "Proctology" club

You dont need a new bumper cover. They can sand it down, bondo it if necessary or use plastic filler, resand, and then paint over it. And that would cost way less then 1500. But if the lady's insurance is gonna pay for it. Maybe you should go for the new bumper.
