My '04 has done this a handful of times in the past month.

I also had the hazard lights flashing, no way to turn them off, issue about a month ago. Only happened once, but very disconcerting. Turned car on, off, kept pressing switches, etc... with no effect - hazards stayed on. Then, miraculously, stopped about 10 minutes later. Obviously didn't know what to attribute it to, but even more oncerned now that others have the same issue (mine is an '05 4.4i). I'm at 12k miles, will certainly mention it at my first service appt.

My 05 4.4 does the same thing. Quite often alarm goes off for no evident reasons.

When I forget to put the turn signal back to neutral position, after engine if off the signal lights are still on. How stupid it is!
I made an appointment with a dealer because the signal lights won't turn off, but I figured out why.

Thanks German engineers.

Actually, this feature can be useful, and is intentional. If you are parked on a narrow street, it is used to keep the side lights on to warn other vehicles that you are parked there. Mostly used in Europe, on narrow streets.

my 2005 does the same thing with no regularity.
the dealer says nothing is wrong.
when i asked them if others owners have had this problem i got "the blank stare"
i guess it's just one of those things we have to live with.

Any fixes for this? My 2005 3.01 has started exhibiting this as well...unlock button on key remote causes alarm to go off with no clear way to shut it off, just randomly press buttons til it stops. Also had the flashers come on randomly with no audible sound, could only fix it by shutting off and restarting ignition...
