Every since I bought my 2005 4.4i X5, the transmission would clunk as if it was not in gear. It would only do it on take offs. I have the steptronic. Recently, my mechanic inspected it for me and discovered that the trans needed to be re-flashed. I took it to a BMW dealership since only a dealer can flash the trans, they hooked it up to the computer and did find a upgrade which completely resolved the problem.Just curious if anyone else has had similar problems.
