I ran across this video by Edwin (an e38 forum member from the Netherlands)...and it shows the difference of the European wide screen nav...when you press the INFO button...what appears is totally different than what we see on our screens here in the USA:

BMW E38 7 series 16:9 screen INFO and SELECT button functions - YouTube

When in audio (radio) mode...if you press the INFO button you get the screen below...which you can see is much different than what you guys in Europe see. And also the Nav-Min selection which sent the discussion in this direction.

Qsilver this is the exact screen option I am referring to with nav-min

So is this the setting for USA cars? Do u think if I use nav coder and select USA I get those settings. Out of curiosity what year/model car that screen shot from?

So if nav-min is on USA cars how to European cars replicate this option?

That pic is from my 2006 X5 (12/2005 build date)...I went out to the parking lot to take that image just prior to posting.

I don't have any of the software/hardware for programming...so I don't know if it's possible or not...or whether BMW used a different supplier (brand/manufacture) for the European market, or what.

But between the INFO screen I get and the INFO screen you and Edwin get (in Europe) seen in his video...the selections & screens are totally different and you all have way more things to play around with...except the thing you seek (Nav-min).

That's the software for menus loaded via sat nab drive
I think these menus are generated from the bm53/54 radio module

If you go into service mode (pressing and holding select for 8 seconds) this will bring up
Gal settings etc. mine is running 41-04 98

Do u also have any options for TMC?
