Dinged Door

So I got out to my car the other day and someone put a nice ding in my door and chipped the paint. Any suggestions for fixing, I have the BMW touchup paint already but getting the dent out, how do you do that without causing more damage?

Paintless dent removal is great. See if there's a local Dent Wizard or body shop to pop out the dig. Then use touch up paint to fill in chip and then smooth out with Langka.

It all depends on the size of your ding ...... if the ding is same size as a quarter or smaller you could get the ding out yourself....... first you would need to get some dry ice not a lot, maybe a size of a golf ball..... ... to prep the area make sure the ding area is exposed to sun light for at least 30min...so the sheet metal will warm up, then take the dry ice (make sure you are wearing a very thick industrial gloves, otherwise it will be painful later on) and start to rub the ding area with the dry ice, depending on the ding it should pop out due to the contraction of the molecules in the sheet metal..... hope this helps

.....I had quite a few dings....u would never know they existed.....Those guys like dent wizard are amazing....it is definitely an art form getting those dings out.....the when done...touch it up... if the sheet metal is very badly creased or about to split then that is a different story.... nra0707 pretty much nailed it!!

Call the luxury car dealers in your area and see who they use. They will have settled on someone who is good for them.

It is the individual doing the job, not the company, and they all vary from area to area. Some of them set up kiosks at dealers, so get more than one opinion.

Here, we use a mobile guy working out of his home. He is just amazing. Every area has one guy who is the best.

Some of them will do a spot paint. That is tough to do on a door or other side panel, so discuss the options with the repair guy.

+1 on Dent Wizard. Did an unbelievable job on my 06 Expedition. Drivers side door a dent right in the middle, you could see it from 100 yards. Now unable to see unless you get down on it at an angle.

Also did 2 small ones on my X before I picked it up. I think they are reasonable and do very good work.
