headrest

Well, brought in my headrest for warranty check today. It was loose. Wonder what scratches they will put on it. Will update what they have found later.

Are you talking about the headrest on the seat? It was rattling around? What year do you have?

hmmm hope they fix it without any scratches. Always a nervous time leaving a vehicle at the stealer.

2005... I know what you mean. The service advisor kept saying, they need to rip out the seat to see what is wrong. I am thinking, rip all you want assh$le, but if there are scratches because of you, you will be replacing that as well. The service advisor I got today has an attitude problem. Going to give them a lowest rating ever when bmw NA call. He's pissed me off because he kept saying that trying to discourage me from having them look at the problem. I hate my local bmw dealership, no wonder i had to travel to the next neighboring state when i purchase this x5!

I hate mine too, but ours ALL seem to be the same. When I bought mine, I went to a few dealers and they must have all been on the same RIP THE CUSTOMER off course cause they all tried to rip every penny they could out of me. I never had this when I bought my Audi or my Vauxhall before that. You`d have though by going UP the ladder, you`d get better service.. Not so.!

As expected by me, there was a problem. The clip in the seat that was holding the head rest was out of place. Here was the official note on their invoice: "Inside headrest bracket was not clipped in, I removed the D/S headrest and pulled the back of the seat off. I checked the brackets holding the headrest in place and found that the inside bracket was not clipped in all the way. I reinstalled it properly and reassembled the seat."
The service advisor was really nice when I picked up the car. Don't know what he had up his ass earlier in the day, but too late, I am still going to give him a poor rating.

Don't be an asshole. Everyone has bad days....yes, even you. What counts is that he was nice to you when you came back. You have no idea what might have happend in the morning for him.

well it sound like everything came back OK.

I agree with the above poster. He might have had an attitude in the am, but if it was fixed in the pm and the car was fine, he does not deserve a poor rating.

Well, if it happens to you, you give him a good rating. This is from a service advisor who went out to my car while I had 2 other problems beside my headrest where he just blow it by saying "I don't know". And he filled out my paper work as an x3 until I told him and he said, "oh, was that an x5?". This after he was in my car fusing with the head rest. Bad day or not, he's the front for bmw and should have been more curtious. And yes, I have my bad days but would never do what he did. So before you call me an asshole, why don't you give me the benefit of the doubt too you assh$le.
