Under the plastic cover around the battery in the rear. (under spare) You will see a few philips head screws on the plastic cover to get in there.

Did you receive and ultimately install the euro hitch? I'm curious how it all turned out?

I took European Delivery of an '08 335 last year, and saw how many different vehicles towed...and my buddy Bram lives there, and I knew that although their hitches were different - even a Fiat Panda can get a hitch and a trailer behind it...so... I just went with the route that I knew was available.

My hitch is packaged, and about to be shipped from the EU in the next week. I'll post results and pics of it when it arrives, and so forth. I saved on shipping by combing some stuff for some volvo guys, in a pallet, and having that air-freighted over.

well the saga is over for me as well finally. i snagged one of the hitches that bmw of bloomfield claimed to have "found in the warehouse" when they moved. in reality i hear they just snagged the entire lot of 40 hitches that came in from bmwna. I paid $450 for the entire kit including harness, wiring, ball everything. they quoted me $500 to install but a buddy and I were able to install it using the DIY in about 4hrs. tekonsha brake controller is next!
