4.8is leaking air spring.
Ok, given the fact that I am now in the process of going round and round with the service manager, and BMW customer relations, with the leaking air spring. To be honest, I have no idea why customer relations needs to be involved. I have now begun to start putting together plan B. Meaning I will replace it myself. Mechanically it wont me a problem for me. Where to get a replacement? Doing a cold search on the internet doesnt really pull up much. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure but maybe this is a dealer only item? I would be scared to get something non-OEM (if it's even available).
Try getting the part number from the dealer and possibly search on that. Otherwise, sorry not much help but good luck! |

I believe it is an OEM item. But, Century in Greenville wanted 1100 clams for it. I found a site that had it for 750. Big price difference. Wonder if I can find it for less.

I think their attitude comes from entitlement. They feel they are entitled to act that way, because they are so close to the assembly plant. From door to door in about 15 min.
I searched out the correct part. Wish I could open up the line and spray some fix a flat in it. ![]() Last edited by corima; 11-04-2008 at 05:08 PM. |

Is this for the front or rear air bag?
The front strut/air bag is about $660 at Tischer BMW - getbmwparts.com p/n-37116761444 I don't think it would be a big deal to install, just like replacing a strut. You just need to find out how to properly remove and reinstall the air line... might be pretty straight forward. |
