Eurotech Wheel Balance

Hello to all,
I recently purchased a set of 4.8is Replica's from Eurotech for use as my winter setup on my 03 4.6is. The tireshop has rebalanced my wheels twice due to a vibration from the rear but has not been able to get rid for the vibration. Has anyone else had an issue balancing these wheels? Should I return them to Eurotech? They look great and Eurotech seems to have a very good rep here on the board, but am concerned they might have a manufacturing flaw. I have purchased a number of tires from this shop with no balancing isses in the past.

No opin on Eurotech wheels, but one or both of those rear wheels may
be out of round themselves. Your tire joint should put bare wheel(s) on
their spinner machine, and check lateral run out. A bad wheel is even
easy to spot visually, especially if the suspect wheel is run at low rpms.

If the wheels aren't "true", or close to it, I would return them for replacements,
assuming you like the other pair.

Wheel should be able to tell you if you got a bent rim, which you probably do.

What equipment is your shop using? They should use the Hunter GSP9700 with road force measurement. That will allow them to best balance the wheel/tire. I've seen them spin the tire around on a rim and place weights in different locations in order to remove any inherent imbalance issues. Where do you go to get the work done?

My Eurotech wheels did great when I first got them, but one of my front rims got bent on the inside lip. I had it repaired, but I still have a vibration.

Thanks for everyones input. To give a quick update on the issue. I went back to the tire shop (Mavis) and had them rebalance the two rear tires to no avail. We checked the rims and all agreed they looked fine. Here's the the tuff part. The two rear tires look to have a slight hop in them, these are the Pirelli Ice and snows, Im using the same size on the back as the front , which I was told by Tirerack and x5 board folk that it was ok. I also took the x5 to my local BMW shop where they checked the balance (regular and road force balanced) and found the wheels to be properly balanced. Funny the techs all thought the wheels were factory (cudos to Eurotech) and they found no issues with them. Next logical step is to replace the rear tires. Not sure how many people have had bad tires out of the box but I know its pretty rare. Still wondering if strechting the 275's on the rear rim is causing the issue. Feel like the tire has flatspots.

Stretching them out on the wider rims wouldn't cause flat spots, but some tires have habbits of getting flat spots from sitting overnight. I would try running them at about 40 psi and drive a few minutes on the highway to see if the vibration changes or lessens when the tires get up to temperature.

And if the rear rims are wider (staggered set) then I would still put the correct width tires on for proper wear patterns anyways... Did you by chance get any printouts from the road force balance?

No, I did not know to ask for the printout. Unfortunately, they do not make a snow tire in the rear width (315's). New tires ordered, hopefully they will go on tomorrow and the problem will be resolved.

my replica wheels need hub centric rings. I think my wheels where 74mm and my hub was 71mm or something like that. I think the bigger hub size is on the 07+.
