Used X5 Prices in Australia - Ouch

So I've been reading a bit about the prices that our American friends have to consider when trading in and buying a used X5. You guys have got it pretty good, not to mention fuel prices....don't start me.

Have a look at what our rides are worth over here (multiply the value by .63 = US$) and you'll see that we have to tip in a lot more coin when deciding on one of these fantastic cars.

I'd be interested what the comparison prices are in the UK & through Europe.

I chose a 2002-3.0i ('cause I've got one) plus a 2004-4.4 and a 2006-4.4 as they seem to be the most popular Stateside (sought of).

i dont think they are too bad. once i bought mine, two friends bought an X5 each as well, one a 4.4 like mine, and the other a 4.6

we all paid around the 40-mark, give or take, and when you look at what you got for that money, i think its pretty good value. Look at mine, its an '02, had 64xxx kms on it when i bought it, white, sports, 4.4, everything i pretty much wanted....

but yes, it can be depressing looking at the american prices

I think its all a bit relative really...In comparison to what people earn/pay for their vehicles, it doesn't differ all that much. Unless of course, youre talking about Singapore/Japan...I have no idea why the vehicles in these places cost so much ...But they are clearly more than most people can afford...

Now petrol, yes - its a whole different story...
