Either way, Im really kind of pissed off becuase I am by no means a DIY person and that was a major issue for me...to be able to easily listen to my mp3 player through the stock stereo...But now I am going to have to find an installer, the equipment, etc. to get all this done...I would have waited for an '05 if I had known all of this...

However, its in in the "top part" of the center storage section, where you can separate the top from the bottom...at the "hinge" point -- there is a hole there with a plastic cover that can be taken out...That is where my stlr rep told me I could plug in another medium...I asked the service dept about it yeterday, and they have no clue what Im talking about... The problem is, here, they have "salespeople" who NEVER interface with the other people in the operation..They are miles apart, literally, and now I realize they dont have a f*&@in clue about the cars their selling, because fortunately, for them, they sell themselves ....Man I wish I had found out about this site before I bought the thing...

Ok, so what would be the deal in installing aux input in a 2001 with nav and dsp? I know I'd have to get a 2003+ radio module, but other than that would it be the same? Would it still plug into the HU?
