This evening I treated my X for the AC stink that's been driving me crazy.

First I removed my existing cabin filter and cleaned some leaves and debris that had accumulated over time in there. I then opened all the windows, put the AC on full drawing air from the outside and spray Lysol into the intake and cabin filter area several times. I let the AC run for about 5-7 minutes in this mode.

Took a break for 30 minutes and went back at it...put the air on max in recirculation mode with the windows closed and sprayed Lysol in the air recirculation intake in the front drives side and passenger side under the glove box and let the AC crank for few minutes.

Finally, I installed my new cabin charcoal filter.

So, we'll see if this treatment was effective and for how long.
