could be bad gasoline or vacuum leak or many many other things. do you have error codes??? It should still be under manufacturer's warranty.

Mine did that when the CPS (Cam Positioning Sensor) was failing. Installed new CPS (20 min DIY) and it's worked fine ever since.
Edit: Going back over my notes on the issue, as I did this a long while ago, I noted that there are 2 CPS units on a 4.4, one intake and one exhaust. My issue was resolved with the replacement of the intake side. Good Luck! -J Last edited by Phyber0ptik; 01-04-2009 at 07:18 PM. |
