I'm not sure I understood everything you tried explaining but you have a problem for sure. I doubt you'll get a remedy for this online. I would suggest your mechanic. Good luck.

If you have the DSC switch, I think it's used to turn it off. When you initially start the car DSC is on. When you hit the DSC button it turns it off and a light comes on (there's a triangle symbol with 4x4 too). I could be mistaken but I believe that's how it works.

As was discussed in your previous post, when the ABS/DSC/etc lights all come on on your dashboard, it is likely a sensor problem. It isn't anything to do with the DSC button, because that only lights up the DSC light (or the DTC light, or the 4x4 light, depending on the year and model - they all mean the same thing)
If the sensor was fine, you could push the DSC button and see a light come on (as above). Pushing it again turns the light off. It resets when you restart the vehicle. Sounds like the sensor has an intermittent failure. So now the failed sensor is most likely causing the DSC to engage, limiting power because it thinks that a wheel is spinning. That is what your wife experienced. You need to get the vehicle repaired by a dealer or other shop that can plug in a diagnostic computer to read the codes and see exactly which sensor has failed. Doing it yourself or without a diagnostic aid means the mechanic will have to look at all of them.

I had the same problem and I replaced the front left ABS sensor + steering angle sensor.

It is better to have a professional check... Mine kept doing the same until they were on constantly.

Just recently the 4x4 light on my 2005 3.0i came on and stayed on. Took it to dealer (still under 4y/50k warranty) and the steering angle sensor needed to be replaced.
