Oh sure, its not that noticable on your Black X5, but on our White X5...
There's no reason why you can't put the antenna in there yourself - we do on our installs.

So the Antenna that comes with the kit will fit without issue? I have since found this thread that seemed to indicate the antenna that comes with the kit cannot fit in the wind deflector. Any details?

We negotiated the tuner and install into the purchase price of our CPO X5, I wonder if I can get the dealer to install it here if I have some details...

Most dealers will only install "by the book" and not wander away from BMW guidelines. Either the BMW antenna or the Terk replacement will fit inside the spoiler.

Sirius on Craigslist for sale

Kind of pricey, but may be able to negotiate. You may want to see if the antenna is included as well.

Thanks for thinking of me, but we had negotiated the kit and its install as part of the selling price, so I'm not going to go out and purchase one. We got a call from the dealer yesterday to schedule the install, so I assume this means the parts are in channel again?

Well, so much for a positive first impression with the dealer's service department. We dropped the truck off for the Sirius install Friday Morning, and gave them a punch list of small items (windsheuild washer jets frozen, set key memory, doors to lock after 8 mph, Blue Tooth Pass Key, etc.).

They had the truck from 9 am till 5:30 pm when they called to tell us they had not installed the Sirius, because the parts were not in, as we were told they were, but they took care of everything else and ordered some parts to replace under warranty.

Even worse than calling us to set-up an install appointment for parts they didn't have (and still didn't know it when we dropped the truck off), but the key memory still doesn't work, it doesn't lock the doors after 8 mph, the washer jets still don't work, and parts that were ordered prior were ordered incorrectly, and have to be reordered. But we did get the blue tooth PK. Oh well, better luck on the next round I guess..

Oh, and they are telling me that the Sirius antenna installes inside the car, attached to the side glass in the cargo area?
