PROFILE 2000

The part number seems to have changed on this item, BMW had it as 82710005998. Does anybody know the current part # for this Base Support System? If you have this part on your X, kindly post some pics....Thanks

Weasel will become famous soon enough
If the part# has changed, you would need to call the parts counter guys at the local dealer for the new part#... or try the almighty google!

Pulled this search: http://www.google.com/search?q=bmw+p...ient=firefox-a

and clicked this link: http://bmw.dealerfit.com/store/bmw-x...1389_13913.php

Are you sure about that. My understanding is that the 453, 998 and 053 are all older versions and the latest one is 82-71-0-415-056. Can you post pictures of your 453?

The 453 is the 998 it just superceeds it as the new part #. Why BMW changed the part# we'll never know.

Okay, but I've seen numerous different pictures of different styles. It would be interesting to see part numbers matched with photos.

Thanks for the pic. That is a very old style rack. So if that's definitely the 453 and based on what Tambalolong said it would also be the 998 rack then there is no way that is the current style rack. BTW, the Profile 2000 in general is an old style rack, the current racks are not called Profile 2000.
