What is the large black o-ring in the picture used for? I assume the two smaller ones are for the drain plug?

I believe that is for the oil filter cap

Correct, the large black o-ring is used for the filter housing.

We have free shipping on select products, however the maintenance and service kits do not have free shipping due to their weight.

Yes, we actually have kits available for almost every model / generation. Which e36 do you have? I'd be happy to post up a link!
