How much was your 2008 cost to repair ur x
how much did you spend last year on repairs... not fuel or brake pads.. (only e53)

total miles i put on her last year is 18K miles.
$56.00 for lower control arm $140.00 oil + oil filter changed twice $600.00 for 4 shocks $ 274.00 for new air mass sensor $74.00 for one speed sensor. labor cost me $0.00 all DIY. Total cost $ 1144.00

Water pump, some cooling/ oil hoses and a window regulator, A/C buttons replaced 2001 X5 4.4i 90K miles. Owned the car 6 months and has put about 4K miles on it. If I could do it all over again, I'd run away from this car... To bad I paid cash, I'd probably walk from it I hate it so bad...

2001 4.4 95,000 miles:
2008 Repairs: Valley Pan Gasket: $760 Water pump & thermostat: $620 Front Brakes: $430 Valve Gasket Cover: $400 Window Regulator: $275 Roughly $2500. The joy of loving to drive my car, priceless.

From quick memory, I think my total out of pocket expenses for repairs/maintenance have been less than $1000 over its 7 1/2 yr life. GL,mD
