Possible X5 Purchase
Looking at getting another X5, 2005 3.0 in new shape and fairly good price. It does have a few miles on it (75,000). What do I look for that was a weak points on this vehicle? Would you be scared buying one with this kind of miles on it. It has been taken well care of. Thanks!

Transmission, window regulators, CV joints. Ask if the regulators have been changed and if the trans has ever needed service.

the engine will last. it's all the small things that add up. brakes, rotors, sensors, electric parts, make sure you have at least 2k just for misc. repairs.
hope that helps. if you can just get a new one or semi new. prices are fairly low right now. as someone on here said. "you can pic and choose" |
