The Cayenne looks funny to me. My choices were the FX50 or the E704.8. Took the E70 for the 3rd row seats.

HAAA!!!! ML!!! I absolutely pity the driver whenever I see one roll up beside me. My best friend had a 99 ML430 for four years, and when he traded it in on Range Rover Sport (another bad decision) we tallied up all his maintenance and repair records to the tune of $17,000.

I will have to say the new MLs (W164) are different. I'm glad to finally see the quality coming back to M-B.

My relatives got one recently and I get rides in it almost every month. That's how I can tell. BTW the x5 is setup for a sporty ride as well. That's why the x5 out handled the cayenne on a racing track.

Actually the 4.8is was running circles around the cayenne s so I'm pretty sure the 4.4i would be an even match. The cayenne has more power then the 4.4i and still it has competition with the 4.4i. That's pretty sad for cayenne if you think about it. The cayenne has more power then the 4.4i and still the 4.4i can keep up with it and out perform it in areas.
