If your looking at full out reliability I think you should at Japanese vehicles.

You have to watch with an 04 Touareg for tyre wear and the stepper motor issue, however you would hope that these have already been sorted out under warranty.

Having owned all three an X5 the ML and Touareg the only one I regret selling
is the Touareg.
