X5 on lockdown!!! HELP!!

You guys act like this is top secret stuff, if it was secret do you guys have a clearance and is this info classified as secret, i mean come on if I or anyone wanted to break into your vehicle we would just use a good ole' brick and once someone figured out they can't steal the car I am sure they would just vandalize your vehicle so give it a break. Our cars are only worth 10-25K on a good day not millions. People are hear to help each.

I understand what you mean, i dont consider my x5 is a millions bucks i used is as the pick up truck.
But when some one jump on the board and ask for help like this we just can't tell them how to... who's no what up in the guy head.
That is why i leave it to the Admins,Mod to do they job.

My battery went dead a few days ago, since the alternator is dead, and i am not driving the car. before the battery went kaput, the alarm went off and the whole thing double locked, and then it was dead!!!

I did not get rid of the keyhole, so I was able to open the driver's door, and pop the passenger door but not the rear doors. I pulled on the emegency trunk release, popped the top gate and pulled the battery to get recharged outside the vehicle.

I think, these cars are designed to lock everything up before the battery's last breath... Are they? And this can happen on a long term airport parking, not a good thing..

Being new here, I agree with this kind of info (how to get into the car without a key) not being discussed publicly, especially since a good majority of us do have the option to use the key hole and not put ourselves in a similar situation as the OP has.

BTW, certain mods do not make any sense to me (and believe me I am VERY ok with all kinds of aesthetic and functional mods), and this key hole covering thing is one of those that doesn't make any sense to me. To each his own, I guess.

Are you crazy? Think a little harder next time....Thats what PM's are for...Yeah lets just post a bunch of ways to open our cars without damaging them so any schmuck can get on this site and find out about it... I agree with EOD, and everybody else probably does too.....So give yourself a break instead, and good luck with your brick...
