Question I don't know about you...but I have a prob with this

Hi guys... but I have been reading the forum for a little while, just haven't posted.

It seems rather unacceptable that there are so many people out there with this problem!
I have the same problem and the dealer has done the following to try to correct it with no success:
1. Reprogrammed entire car? (took almost all day)
2. Installed a new General Module for the alarm

Who knows what the next step is, but I can tell you this, you all need to complain to your dealer because this is something that more than just one person has a problem with. My old 3 series did not do this.

I do have to say that this problem is not the same as the alarm sounding by itself (fixed by disconnecting the hood switch)
This problem is the Siren ONLY is sounding when you try to unlock the car. And it won't shut up until you lock and unlock the car.

They mentioned to me replacing the siren...guess that may be the next step.
My X5 is an '04 3.0, what year are you all having problems with?
