Why do people own 8 year old cars (especially BMWs), can't work on them themselves, can't afford to maintain them, whine about repair costs and ultimately bashes the car as if another brand does NOT ever break?

Yes your right all old cars break but in the x5 you dont expect it to break so much because it is suppose to be so well built when you pay 50-60k new.

thats why when they run out of warranty everyone sales them-

for example if you have a 2001 x5 4.4 and ur tranny goes bad it will cost you more then a 3rd of what its worth- ( i dont think its worth owning a suv with such heavy repair cost at that point)
