Got the bottom put together (piston and connecting rod, but because i did not order the head bolts i am waiting for those now, i though i wasn't going to need them but decided to follow peoples advice and ordered those and it all is taking a hell of a long time.

But for what its worth i just finished my 98 M3 5 speed Sedan and its incredible!

Yeah those are really fun! I put a supercharger on one for a friends shop back when I had time for side jobs... would broil the tires off in a cloud of smoke if you punched it from 30mph!

YEP, love the car and it has the sweetest sound its got full race exhaust from Active Autoverke, and Active cold air intake with heat shield, and i think a flashed computer by active but i am not sure about that one, plus it does not have the o2 sensors its got simulators on it.

5 speed with AA short shifter and chrome ball shifter knob from AA, Eibach springs, but i cant have to much fun with it as currently my driving privileges have been taken away from me for entire year

In case you didn't already know Dinan is having a sale. You can get the strut brace from them now for about $330. Maybe if there is interest in a group buy we can get them to drop the price some more?

Ok, so now i am looking for the timing tools. Is there a place to rent those? Or i wonder how much they would be from a dealer? they are very simple.

Its almost back together, now i have a question.

WHERE CAN I GET THE SPECIAL TIMING TOOLS?

Does bmw sell them?

Or how can i set timing on that thing.

quick question

i was checking on engines and parts i will need if my engine takes a dump. i have a ls1 383 stroker that pushes 450 hp with 492 ft lbs of torque. it was made for my 96 impala ss. i have the wire harness , everything for the engine. even a trans. i was wondering if the situation ever came up could it be possible to one day put that into the x? 2003 x5 4.4
