bad day for the X

so yesterday night i had an accident in the X. it was going great spending the day with the girlfriend and at 11pm at night i went out to boston to pick up my sister.. i was on the far left lane of the highway and the road start curving a bit and lets say due to maybe a bit fatigue and tired-ness i scraped along the blocks that seperate both traffic lanes. i became totally awake afterward.
the car started shaking afterward and i pulled over to the right lane even though there wasnt an emergency lane..because i was scared what has happened. i have never gotten into any accident like this and i got out to see that i have blown both my left tires.. i called my dad and he gave me a number to this tow truck guy but the state trooper came and he told me to cancel the call because he got someone to take care of it.

i went to get my car today with my dad's fellow friend and he took it to my dad's shop. sorry i couldnt get any pictures but theres major curb rashes and im going to need new tires. i'm really bummed out about what happened..i feel really bad, it seems like i lost something/someone important..i treat my X like a human and a best friend..weird but i know some of you can connect with me. i knew i shouldnt have driven out when i was tired but i had to get my sister which ended up..not happening..but thank god my parents understood.

so i'm writing this to share what has happened and i need some input. i have a 00' 4.4 X5 with these wheels

i'm searching ebay and theres a few going for 125+25 for each so thats around 150*2= so a total of 300 plus 2 tires. my other plan was to slowly save enough money so i could just buy a new set of other wheels. which route would you guys take? i told my dad its okay if its going to take a while to fix because i feel like crap and i dont want to drive for awhile.

and last but not least..my X5 is oxford green i believe and it has the original chrome grill, would black grill look weird on it? i was thinking about replacing it since thats the only part that stands outt

sorry for the long post and in advance thanx for who replies

cliffs
-got into accident
-both left side tires are blown + wheel curb rash
-shuld i replace both wheels+tire or get a new set
-oxford green X5, stick with chrome grill or get black ones

Most important, you are okay. Nothing else matters.
Save your money, just fix what's broken. Get 2 new rims. Be careful on ebay because plenty are knockoffs and many are repaired. Try to get OE BMW rims even if they cost you a few bucks extra. (just look at the post of the guy who bought rims recently and is using 10 lbs of weights to balance them). Depending on how your other two tires are, put the new ones on the rear and the used ones on the front.

The most important thing is that you are ok!!

I can definitely connect with how you feel!

As for the mods....make wise choices!!

No need to apologize for the long post...this is a great place to air out your feelings and get great feedback!

Rich

thnx for the reply guys i'm probably going to take my time getting the original wheels or like jvit said i'll ask rimpro.

so what do you guys think about the grill

do you think black would look alright on there? thats the only chrome trim on the car so i'm thinking going black would be pretty nice. i havent seen any modded oxford X5 yet but if any of you know of any feel free to post it.

i'm probably going to slowly buy clear signal tailight, clear headlight, and sidemarkers for the car sooner too.

I think Krunk Man also had the same colored x5 with blacked out grills. His also had other mods. Do a search maybe you can find some of his old pics.

In my opinion I think it would look good if you blacked the grill out.

i think i'll go with the black grilles after i get everything else. would removing the grill be easy?

and tee im sorry to hear that. crazy potholes are everywhere in boston and NY..i wish we had better roads like cali or something. i get this cringe feeling everytime i see potholes or even cracked roads.

by the way i got a few questions
-what does staggered mean when it comes to wheels?
-my passenger side foglight doesnt turn on..maybe somethings wrong with the plug but it frequently happens where it turns on every other full moon. what should i do? should i pull it out and replug the thing?
-also..if i was to replace the foglight can i just buy a bulb from..lets say ebay?
