$600 w/ shipping and the harness. Is that a fair deal?

Depends on how you look at it. Considering they are the only ones in the country with the product, I would say you should have allready orered it and gladly paid the $600.00. Sure beats putting on a hitch that would damage your car. I would have paid 750.00 for them.
I called the deler direct and I paid $550.00 to have them shipped to California. I saw it was more on E-bay from the same place. You will be lucky if they are not sold allready. There are something like 400 people on backorder for these. If you can wait, there may be some coming soon from BMW in a month or two. I don't think that is worth saving $50.00 do you? If so you probably don't need them badly as some others do. Good Luck!

Thats what I was wondering. When BMW gets there supply replenished, is the price going to be $550, or something significantly less.

I doubt the price would go down significantly to matter. But that call wouldn't be mine to make, so who knows?

Oh, I'm absolutely CERTAIN it will be cheaper than $550. New BMW's and BMW parts are getting cheaper by the day. Used to be you could get a fully equipped 735i for $35,000. Now a base 1-series will cost you ~$32,000.

your not adjusting for npv though. if you do you'll find the prices haven't really gone up that much if at all.
