See that's what I thought, but look at this. Isn't this the flared wheel arch extension retrofit kit? (I really do think those "flared wings" are for a X5 that coverts to an airplane, you know like in Live and Let Die, oops I mean The Man with the Golden Gun)

Here are the complete installation instructions for those "wings" in case someone can figure them out. They just don't make sense to me. Hell I can't even tell if they go on the front or rear wheel arches?!

I think the important question is: Why were you searching for these on eBay?

What the hell is this?
If I'm not mistaken its very similar to the regular rear flares on the 4.6/4.8 but made for 3.0s/4.4s (see below). Because if you use the ones for the 4.6/4.8 it won't look right as you don't have the rear diffuser too.

These things were sold as whole kit (front & rear) initially (with & w/o running boards) but I think they made it available only for the rears (2 pcs) later on.

BTW .. if you check realoem.com they list them with the 20" wheel packages too (87s, 168s, & 177s). I'm not sure but I think they may even have come as part of the wheel packages (the whole kit). Its easy to understand why they would come with the wider wheels.
