cheers,
If you were able to ping IP for head - I would say you good. Try to reupload head info, etc. If nothing works - disconnect head from power, reconnect and wait more.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
By the way... you guys can still diagnose normally without a charger with V55..... just hit continue after the voltage warning window pops up. It is just one more button to click when getting into the diagnostic session, nothing more. I think BMW added that to help remind new techs to not kill the battery when diagnosing.

DON'T mess with the autoupdate.
I think this was for any future firmware updates to the head. NOT for config settings.
When I first got the GT1, I mistakenly thought that to update the settings I had to do this.
I think that you may be having the same problem that I had with the config settings.
All your problems sound familiar to me. I will try and recap how I resolved when I have some time. Too much going on at the moment.

Hey Riaz ... long time since I've been on the forum. Can you write-up or comment what to check when using SSS with the yellow diagnostic head. Someone else is having a similar problem.

Something about the head is recognized but SSS still doesn't work properly or cannot continue because it can't find the diags head (even though it displays on-screen as available?

I still have not installed and/or used SSS so I have zero actual experience with SSS.

Praying that I will have more time in week or so and get this done.
I haven't played with SSS much since I got it working.

I will be buying the OPS head soon.

Fo DIS, go to Services at the top of the main screen. Select version and it will give you Admin version and DIS version.

Yes, DIS v43 will diagnose & program with the DK.

I have no experience with SSS yet so I have no idea how to check SSS version.
