I'm assuming because you have a screenshot of VMWare that, that installation is working properly.
Likely the DIS installation is not finding certain files/path of those files.

Are you installing TIS/EPC as standalone through sysadmin or via DIS?

The members over at digital kaos are more knowledgeable on workshop diagnostic software installations. Try your question there.
Diagnostic/Workshop
Thanks for your reply,

I'm installing the software via DIS. I think like you that the DIS don't found some files.

When I burn the DVD DIS in French, do I burn it on UDF mode or CDFS ?

I will ask my problem on digital kaos too. Thanks for you help.

I was messing around w/ a 4.8 not too long ago. It's way easier to change the height w/ Inpa... especially since I couldn't get DIS to work on my laptop for the life of me.

All you have to do is go into the calibration and enter the amount you want to lower by. If you want to raise the car, then enter a negative value.

I also did a corner light delete for someone w/ NCS Expert. Lots of cool things you can do w/ that software

Recently had work done on my air suspension and discovered some "new to me" info on ride level height adjustment using the GT1. Here's the related post:

Smile GT1 Diagnose Results

Hi all,

more than 2 weeks ago my X5 2001 4.4i gave me a "Self Level Susp. Inact" message on the cluster and at the same time my interior lights went off + no washer pump but wiper is working and the rear of the car is lowered to the max + PDC stopped working. hooked my GT1 and found a lot of results, checked all the fuses but all seems okay. i have had issues with my X before and with the help of my GT1 i have solved those issues but for electrical issues i just couldn't figure things out since all the fuses are fine. i think there is a main culprit that connects all these issues since they came all at the same time. any ideas?

here are the results on my GT1

cheers

GT1 DIY - Visual Acknowledgement When Locking/Unlocking

In the spirit of the GT1 DIY for DRLs...

Program car memory to visual acknowledge when locking/unlocking. Also known as activate flashing signals and clown nose without having all the alarm system components when locking/unlocking.

NOTICE: When performing the procedure below with vehicle that does NOT have all the alarm system components that when activated, the fault code "07 anti-theft alarm system" is going to be set in GM. Fault does not affect operation of the General Module in any way.

from source Bimmerforums:

According to Mike Miller, the Technical Editor of Roundel, in his "Tech Talk" column on page 104, BMWCCA spoke with BMW NA regarding any problems with the above procedure. According to BMW NA, there are no long term problems with this procedure. Here's the quote:

"We spoke with BMW of North America regarding (the question) The "Car Memory" function, "Acknowledgement without DWA" for E46 vehicles (without factory-installed alarm), is available since DIS CD 20.0, and its functionality is described in Service Bulletin 09 03 98. When activated, the fault code "07 anti-theft alarm system" is going to be set in General Module. This fault does not affect operation of the General Module in any way. Simply put, the sustem detects absence of certain components of the DWA - alarm siren and ultrasonic sensor - while at the same time the module was coded to activate the DWA for the lights acknowledgement purpose. Again, the above mentioned fault code is transparent to driver and does not affect the operation of the car. There is no reason to replace the General Module after Car Memory programming. This programming procedure was approved by BMW AG."
Roundel, December 2000, pg. 104
, The official publication of the BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) ROUNDEL, in the December 2000 issue

Did you email Jackey ([email protected]) directly? I never had problems communicating with him.
