![]() By the time I get to you ... the GT1 might be broken! ![]() Have you tried to ask your SA to lower it for you. Can't hurt to give it a try and I imagine you might be able to get away with it for free ... or only charge 1 hour of labor. Depending on your relationship with the SA. |

BTW, with regards to the GT1 head, i've noticed that sometimes when i connect it to the X it will give me a short flash (green/yellow/red) on the 3 LEDs at the same time then the green LED would start blinking fast - this happens when the ignition is turned off. When the engine is on green LED stays on while the red LED (temp?) stays red also. Last edited by royemaun; 06-10-2009 at 02:54 AM. |

By the way... you guys can still diagnose normally without a charger with V55..... just hit continue after the voltage warning window pops up. It is just one more button to click when getting into the diagnostic session, nothing more. I think BMW added that to help remind new techs to not kill the battery when diagnosing.

I'm going to see if I can load SSS and play around with it. Its hard to discuss it without any real hands on experience with it. Maybe Riaz or someone who's using SSS now will chime in. I'm curious. This auto-update. When you started SSS did it automatically want to update the DK right away (you had no choice)? Or was it an option you saw and you just decided to try it? |

I don't think autoupdate will do anything..
If you have somebody else with GT1 in town I would try your head first to eliminate all that frustration... |

I'm just concerned about the lights. According to the GT1 manual blinking green is self-test or updating and the blinking red is overheating or fault. I haven't used the DK with SSS so I'm not sure if that's normal. With DIS v43 or v55 the green light is just solid green when working properly. katit ... do you remember what lights are on on yours with SSS? |
