also does anyone know how to change the turn signal lights from always being on(with the headlights) to just be used as blinkers?

Have you looked at Navcoder:

DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
DRL-ECE on = same as having licht switch in the low-beam position. Low-beam, plus side and tail lights are active.
DRL-Lowbeam = only Low-beam headlights, no side or taillights
DRL-Dimmed-Highbeam = only dimmed high-beam headlights, no side or taillights. Dimming value can be set 0%...50%

drl-lowbeam might be what i want... i got the software installed unfortunately the interface i made wouldnt work.. will have to order an ibus one from the guy in EU
