DIY Help - CD Changer Installation

I picked up an Imola Red 4.4 2006 with lots of nice options like DSP, DVD NAV but no CD changer. I found a changer online, using the instructions on this very site I'm stuck at step 6:

6. Locate audio and power cables in vehicle.

I see some cables that look like they are probably the right ones but they are already plugged into something - can't tell what, the wires disappear under the floor (so maybe they aren't the right wires at all).

Anyone been through this? I should note that it looks like this car used to have a CD changer - (bolt) markings on the paint where it would have been mounted. I'm guessing the dealer (not a BMW dealer) relieved me of the CD changer and put it in her own X5.
