So it was just on my To Do list since i figured i wasn't spending an extra $8000 for a 4.8 with 20k more miles and a navigation when i can put in the nav for less than $2k. So far I've spent about $800 on everything. So now it's just the install.. well have to wait for monitor and wire harness to arrive.
Yeah so rasta can mod his nav startup screen to say ... "hand over wallet please"

So the $800 is including the computer update for the X to recognize it has Nav. I'm still waiting on the harness. anyone know a part # for this? my source is still trying to get the harness but still looking for myself. I see a harness on ebay for $225. Roveractive has it brand new for $449. The one for 225 is from an e38 so I don't want to go with that one really...

OK - so sorry - i know i should "search" but to be honest i'm not finding the answer and i need to tell the seller quickly..

I am getting the harness without TV module wires. He can get it on there for me if i want it. Is it worth it? I mean, the TV module is for analog TV signal right? aren't we moving to digital? what are the benefits of having teh tv module - do i get put DVD player as well etc? He'll add teh wires for free so i might tell him go ahead.

question is, will it prevent me from setting up if i don't have the TV module to start?

And yes - i will be modding the startup screen.
