Brake Help needed
So now i decided to change the rotors to try and get rid of the problem, my question is do i need to change the brake pads too? Theyre still thick, but since the rotors are new and the pads might have wear from the old ones they might now fit on the rotor properly?? or will they wear in and even out? thanks for any help |

The pads should be ok for "normal" daily driving if you bed them properly to the new rotors. I assuming 5 months of driving racked up less than 10k miles?
Search for all things brakes and you'll find more about how to best bed-in your pads. Good luck! |

You may be able to get away with reusing the pads, but it isn't a good practice. I would look at them and make sure there were no contaminants on the friction surface. Then, if I reused them, I would test them to see how the pedal felt, and if the vehicle stopped straight once the pads were bedded in. Any hint of any problem, and I would throw them out. And because of that possibility, and not wanting to do brake jobs multiple times, I would probably just change them when I installed the rotors.

![]() If you're taking the brake assembly apart, just change the pads. Minimal cost and now you'll have new pads not re-seating old pads

it's not the brakes... today I found some 19 OEM sport rims/tires for $700 on craigslist, picked them up, put them on... and the shaking was gone! I guess it was something with balancing, maybe a weight fell off...
now i just hope this ebay seller allows me to return the set of brakes I already ordered thanks guys |
