Just an FYI, the "stealer" slang is really a bad way to attract attention for help from the men and women that have trained and are employed by the company that makes these awesome driving/looking vehicles. Not me, but they have earned my respect and I refrain from insulting them indirectly. See, its all good. If anything I would call the indy a bad name.

i stand corrected your'e right its just frustrating to have such a vehicle with the options that you like not working. i probably should have just taken it to the dealer. but money is tight so i thought it was a easy fix but those who are trained right should ultimately do the work im sure theres quite a few indy guys out there that are just as knowledable. so as far as my indy guy goes he was a stealer lol.

good news for me i took the x5 to a place that only deals with bimmers
not sure if i can mention it here so pm me if anyone needs the name and address. those guys were life savers and only chaged me 1 hour of labor
even though they analyzed the car for longer than that so now all is good now. the problem was my indy guy totally ripped me off did not replace my regulator only rigged it so that my window would go up and down but disconnected the airbag meanwhile causing a short in master switch which caused the locks and windows to malfunction. firm believer now in only going to bmw certified techs for any major work.

Likely the switch is bad... does the switch still feel normal? Sometimes the bad switch doesn't have the "clicks" feel when pressing.

One thing you can do is either swap with a known good switch if you have a friend with an X5. Otherwise any shop with the same diagnostic equipment as the dealer (GT1) can look at the switch status through diagnostic requests to condemn/confirm the switch operation.

Oh yeah, WELCOME TO X5 WORLD!!!

It ended up being a loose connection on the passenger switch. Cleaned up the connection all works fine now. Thanks....
