Went Skiing This Weekend In My X5M...

You guys can sure be rough on people the stray from the standard BMW formula ( using OEM products or known authorized aftermarket suppliers ie AC Schnitzer, Remus, etc).

(Pls dont treat me like this poor sap (http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/59756-x5-24-a.html)

Well I've posted some pics of my X (who I call Brawn) from this weekend. I think if BMW would've made an X5M in 2001, it might've looked something like this... or maybe not but I do like it just the way it is. It's a 01, 3.0L, 5spd manual that had 68,500 miles on it when I got it in April 2008. It must have had been recently painted before I got it because it was remarkably swirl and blemish free when I got it.

Open to comments good and bad and even suggestions...

I'm sorry but I just don't get rebadging a car to another model, especially when the other model doesn't exist.

Nice ride though, but the M badges are a bit silly imo.

Well, if I'm being honest, not entirely my taste, but it looks like everything that's been done to the truck has been done with an eye on quality craftsmanship. If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't lump you in with the 24" wheels.

Gotta ask one question---what's up with the USA plates bolted over the Euro plates?

Great execution, good looking. But in all due respect, the M badges make it a poser. Drop the badges and you have winner.

I guess Devils fans and Rangers fans can agree on something...

Great looking X overall, nice rims, nice flares. The M badges need to go.
At least re-badge it to something that actually exists... like a 4.8iS. The 'M' version won't even be in showrooms until late fall (at the earliest).

The kit looks good.

I agree 100% that the M badges need to go. I am also not a huge fan of the body colored door trim and chrome wheels, but enjoy.
