Aux IN location

Hello Guys and MOD lover... i just bough the AUX/IN interface and didnt realy like the idea to place the blug in the glove box, so i wonder if anyone has insatlled it somewhere else better

I put mine in the ashtray. I fold up the cable in there when not in use.

Some people put it in the ashtray, personally I prefer the ease of hiding away an ipod in the glovebox, but it's true that it is not an ideal solution given you need the ipod for control. The cable isn't very long so your choices are limited. I'd personally love to put it in the armrest storage area if it were lockable.

I recessed the port to the base of the ashtray, I can actually have the lid closed while the cable is attached, so I merely fish out the cable I need and the rest of the cable/port is hidden

At first I had mine mounted in the center console box, then I recently moved it into the ashtray. I modified the ashtray by cutting the bottom off and epoxying a cover plate 1/2 way up to allow room for the aux input and a bass control knob for my amp.






And I plan on buying a shorter black cable next time I'm at such a store...

Hey weasel, in that case, you should consider getting a black dock connector cable that has a right angle connector and run it inside the center console and out one of the cupholder holes.
