70k and some stuff needs replacing

Looks like I need a new motor mount (driver side mount bad) and new CV boots (both?). How often do these go bad? Should I expect to fix these again in another 60-70k?

I have recently replaced both engine mounts ... 2002 105k km (65K miles)
The difference is huge at idle

CV boots...depends on how you treat them. If you always park with the wheels straight, then they last for quite some times. But if you don't pay attention and park with the wheels cocked most of the times, then they get torn up in no time.

Yes...the boots are most stressed when the wheels are turned. Leaving them that way while park doesn't help prolong their lives.

Correct. What will prolong them is making fewer U-turns.

60-70k miles for cv boot is pretty common.

Changed my CV boot at 75K....heard it was common by BMW techs and Forums

Changed my Alternator at 58K.....heard it was not as common, but happens more often than not.

Airbag Light Illuminated at 77K.... Heard SRS lights come on for numerous reasons at any mileage.

This was hard for me to accept in the beginning considering my last car was an Acura. I suppose its the trade off for luxury and fine engineering. But I dont regret it for one second.

ok cool, thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if it was norm. I guess something to expect in another 60-70k!
