The service adviser was like.....well I wouldn't plan on getting the car back today!

I said no problem......as they handed me a loaner with 6miles on it........x3 is a respectable ride........very stable and surefooted!

Just out of sheer curiosity, what items are on your list? Did the dealer agree to fix them all? I have about 5 months left before my warranty expires on my '05 and I'd like to see if I can put together a similar list to present before the warranty is void.

DONT MAKE FUN OF ME....

1)PLEASE Formally NOTIFY BMW SOS service that I am the new owner so I can later activate the service
2)Please update and assure that all firmware updates have been performed on engine and transmition as car aggressively downshifts (2nd to 1st)
3)Please extract Bluetooth code
4)Sirius antenna coming off roof
5)Wind noise when sunroof is closed (towards front near front pass seat)
6)Drivers door needs to be adjusted…..sounds wrong when you close it….loud a rattles
7)Drivers interior door handle cracked
8)Side mirrors won’t stay folded
9)Rear entertainment system cover doesn’t close and is discolored should be replaced.
10)Rear entertainment passenger monitor not working
11)Rear entertainment drivers video monitor flickers…..and pixilates
12)Rear entertainment aux in doesn’t work.
13)Rubber gasket on roof behind rear door is coming off
14)Passenger side aluminum side step is misaligned and doesn’t sit flush with plastic trim.
15)Rear sunshade clips covers stay open
16)Front cup holders rubberized finish is coming off
17)Driver’s seat lap bolster excessive pad wear cuts into leg when getting in and out of car…..shouldn’t wear that fast…..
18)Check brakes…..squeal on occasion……
19)Front end knock when goes over bumps and or entering a drive curb.
20)Wheel bearing noise in the front when slowing down…..
21)Rear groan or rattle in cargo area pass side. (adjust glass grommets)

NyMench, on bullet #22, I'm not sure if this is something that you can enable everytime, but you do do if you flash the highs, it will do the pathway lights ?

That's a stellar list you got there. Hopefully they'll be able to help you out with most of them.

I've gathered a few things I would like my dealer to look at and I'm hoping they are as receptive as it sounds like yours is:

Tilt on passenger side mirror stopped working (folds in fine but tilting on reverse no longer works)
Cracked faux wood on driver & passenger doors
Squeal on cold start (belt and tensioner ???)

What chefwong means is when you turn the car off, pull the turn signal stalk back toward you, like you're flashing the highbeams. It will activate the pathway lights.

-new air bag cause they couldn't fix the cracking roudel on the steering wheel....and they didn't think i would find that acceptable...
