Not really, it is 2 perforated tubes straight through with all the stuffing/baffling around them. So they're not fully separated but not fully connected.

Ok, so there is some pressure stabilization between cylinder banks. The reason I was asking was because I've heard straight pipes (no crossover) is actually louder than with a crossover. Heard any x5s with a straight pipe mod as opposed to x pipe?

Thanks. I love the way it sounds when i take off and shift through the gears. It also sounds goou driving at 2.5K and 3K RPM's
